Christmas Under Glass…A Holiday Cloche Party

LargeLogo[1]

Marty at A Stroll Thru Life is our hostess . I think she is singlehandedly responsible for making the cloche this year’s “must-have” decorating accessory. Who knew you could do so much with a simple bell jar??!! Some of you might remember that I gave one of the guest bedrooms a makeover last spring. You can see it here. I thought I might bring a little Christmas in here—“little” being the key word.

This is the room where my three year old niece sleeps when she comes to visit. Although it is blue, white, and yellow; it’s definitely a feminine room—just right for Miss Priss. I thought she might enjoy a doll house Christmas vignette.

I retrieved a few things from Sunshine’s childhood dollhouse—the one I adored and she tolerated :). I decorated it for Christmas even back then.

A tree by the fireplace is perfect. Don’t you love the tiny blue and white tiles and dental molding?—perfect for this bedroom! The tree is decorated with angels, bow, and snowmen and has lots of presents waiting underneath for a good little girl! Just a little something to bring Christmas into the guest room…to make my guests feel the warmth of Christmas all through the house. I’ve changed the sheets to some I think she’ll like too.

More snuggly snowmen! Don’t forget to click here to see more cloche fun! I hope you will visit me on Tuesday for Deck the Halls. Come show off your decorations! Mr. Linky and I have kissed and made up :)

  1. I agree with you Marty has changed our world with cloche. I have had a hard time finding them in California but I'm going to order some. I love that "look"...great pictures and sweet miniatures. I love miniatures and posted some on my blog too under the cloches! Have a wonderful weekend.
    Blessings,
    Debbie

  2. Oh Susan, that is the cutest doll house fireplace I've ever seen! I'm going to come stay in your guestroom, and if it turns up missing, you won't be surprised. Love the little tree by the fp., and even snowman sheets for me to sleep on! It just looks like such a cozy place. Thank you so much for your kind condolence messages. I am so behind on my blog reading. Between having TG and the funeral, I've missed a lot of blog posts! laurie

  3. I too think Marty has gotten us all to think we NEED a cloche....I first saw them on My Romantic Home and found them soooooo interesting, but have found them much harder to use than expected.
Your cloche in the guest bedroom is darling and just right for your niece, I'm sure.
The photo behind my cloches is a wedding photo of my Mom and Dad.....thanks for appreciating it.

  4. Oh that is so cute! I love the sheets too! I didn't have one either...in fact I didn't even know what one was until I started hanging out around here. I worked around it with a covered cake stand because I wanted to play too!

  10. How sweet for your niece to enjoy. Anyone who doesn't have a cloche now, will probably be asking for one from Santa. Rosie

  13. It's absolutely adorable! Love the tile! And I love that you switched the sheets over to the snowmen! I noticed you have a Schnucks white bird! I bought two of those last spring and used them in my mother's day tablescape! Don't you just love Shnucks! Do you shop there? Because I can't believe we haven't run into each other! God Bless! Lauralu :)

  17. Oh Sweetie...
I love you little fireplace with the doll and tree in your cloche. It is just perfect to a "T" for a sweet little girl to stand and look at. I can see her just staring in awe. They love little things at that age.

I am also loving that white bird. So elegant.

Thank you for sharing. Please stop by and let me share my cloche ideas with you today.

    Country hugs sweetie...Sherry
