Today was to be my first time to post for Susan's Between Naps on the Porch Tablescape Thursday. I had a plan and good intentions but then IT came. I knew it was coming this week. The bridal shop had called and told us to expect it. What I didn't know was how I would feel just looking at even the box that held it. My daughter's wedding dress arrived. Suddenly this was no longer just lists, emails, phone calls, and more lists....this was a wedding, my one and only daughter's wedding. So I know you will forgive me. We did enjoy the tea and that is the first fresh mint from my garden. But somehow the "tablescaping" got moved to the back burner. I can't think of a better picture to remember the day. Bunnies, fresh flowers, fresh mint--all symbols of renewal and hope and fitting for the day! I know you'll enjoy checking out all the posts at Susan's http://www.betweennapsontheporch.blogspot.com/

Nothing like tea for two on a tray with bunnies to keep you company. There are a lot of emotions when you marry off your daughter! Glad you stepped in and got your toes wet on your first TT --

I certainly understand. I am planning a wedding for my daughter now too! Lots to do! Love your bunny! Have a great day and fun planning that wedding!
ReplyDeleteHello Susan,
ReplyDeleteI love the bunnies! I have a few that are very similar, aren't they just the cutest! I can totally relate! My daughter is also going to get married this year and I can only imagine the feeling of actually seeing "The Dress". I am sure it was one of those "reality moments"!
I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers. That all the plans will come off without a hitch and also that "mom" will make it through! :)

You are going to have sooo much fun with your daughter's wedding! I had a HOOT when we organized our Little Angel's wedding last year. Check out some of our party organizing fun at http://thegreenhousediaries.blogspot.com/2008/09/wedding-day.html
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bunnies and mint tea. Congratulations to your daughter. Kathy.
ReplyDeleteHappy Tablescape Thursday ~ Susan
ReplyDeleteI think I have one of those bunnies! Your daughters wedding should take priority. I wish I had a daughter to plan a wedding for. I guess I'll just have to settle for nieces. Now if only they would find someone to marry.
ReplyDeleteWell this is adorable. I would like to know how to make mint tea! As a matter of fact I would like to relax and try a little sip of that mint tea. I wish I had spent more time sipping something with my daughter instead of worrying about everything else... Really, just enjoy this time with her. ~Athella
ReplyDeleteWell those bunnies look as if they understand, so it's OK... there will be plenty of time for tablescaping another week. Enjoy the wedding madness!
