Outdoor Wednesday...Do You Know This Man?

I'm joining Susan at A Southern Daydreamer for Outdoor Wednesday with a departure from the usual. Do you know this man?

If you don't, take a good look at him...show his picture to your husband....and if you see him, don't ignore him! This is Ahmed Hassan, the host of HGTV's Yard Crashers . Ahmed shows up in local home improvement stores and asks unknowing customers if they need help in their yards. Most people shrug and keep walking or simply ignore him...big mistake....BIG MISTAKE! For those who take the time to listen, Ahmed follows them home. He then addresses their needs and problems with a new design. Of course, after that one of those magic crews show up and presto chango...new yard, new patio, new deck, new flowers, new trees! Next time I go to Lowe's, I'm going to carry his picture in my wallet :) You've been warned. This man is on the loose and he's armed with a labor force and money. Be on the lookout.

  1. He and his crew could show up to work their magic in my yard. I would love a bit of help on the gardens and yard -- especially after all new gas lines, phone lines and cable lines have been installed to the house. READ: yard and gardens torn up and all my trees removed for road construction!

Thanks for the warning! I will be waiting for the crews to arrive!

  4. Susan, every time I watch that show, I'm thinking, what is wrong with those people! But then again, I have learned that normally, if it sounds too good to be true, it is too good to be true. Obviously, none of those people have seen the show! laurie

  5. I love that show. I can't believe he has a hard time getting people. If he walked up to me and asked me if I needed/wanted a landscaper, I would say, boy did you ask the right person.

My O W is posted now...it's a continuation [and last entry for the week] of our tour of the Botanical Gardens.

  19. Hi Susan, thaks for the hosta suggestion. I bought one and planted it under the tree but I need to buy more. And yes, I will have to bring the pineapple plants inside when it gets cold. I have so many that I have to bing inside like bird of paradise, orchids, etc. cause I like tropical plants. I will need more indoor room, LOL!...Christine

  25. The image is burned in my brain and would never turn down anyone asking if I need help in my yard!

  26. Well first I would think he was Barrack Obama. After I put my glasses on I would definitely bring him home and pour him some of my limoncello and probably keep him hostage for awhile.

  27. I haven't seen that show yet. I can tell you this though, he would follow me home and take one look at my yard, and retreat.

  28. A handsome man offering to help in my yard? No, wouldn't say no to that! Might have to start hanging out at Lowe's looking helpless. :-)

  29. He could follow me home any day... I'll start lurking now.

  30. Now, see, I don't have to keep his picture in my wallet. I talk to ALL strange men when I'm out in public, hoping someone will follow me home. . . .

Oh wow -- can you imagine being so lucky as to get YARD HELP from someone you didn't have to threaten with serious bodily injury first? Bliss.
