Our friend Laurie @ Bargain Hunting and Chatting with Lauries is hosting My Favorite Things and I’ve got LOTS of favorite things going on here!
This pumpkin is going to the Grove tomorrow with a bouquet of fall flowers to tailgate at the Ole Miss Auburn game. As I’ve told you before—the Rebels DO know how to tailgate in high style! But this is just fun and not nearly “Halloweeny” enough :) On to Pumpkin # 2!
You’ve heard of roach motels? It seems we’re having a bit of a rodent problem here.. :)
Cinderella’s coachmen run amuck!
And what is this? The “baby left this for his girlfriend in the kitchen tonight. A bucket of spiders? A vat of witch’s brew?
Oh wait…there is something in the bottom…..a spider ring in a velvet lined box? Is this a joke?
And there he was….her boyfriend….my baby…. down on one knee with the real thing in his hand. She said YES!
Happy Halloween from a very tired, very emotional mother of the groom-to-be! This has been one of my FAVORITE days :) You can join Laurie and the party here! I am also joining The Tablscaper for Seasonal Sundays. You can find this fun party here. Thanks for sharing this with me!
Susan, that is such wonderful news! You must be the most excited mother of the groom-to-be ever! Congratulations to the happy couple and their families!
ReplyDeleteBlessings and best wishes,
Natasha.
Oh congratulations! What a fun and sweet proposal! I am so happy for you and your son. She looks like a lovely girl! I know you are happy. Your pumpkins are very cool!!
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness! Congratulations Mother-of-the-Groom!!! That's me too - I have a son so, hopefully, I will be YOU, the mother of the groom one day! Oh, I am so happy for you. You have a super handsome son, plus a gorgeous daughter-in-law to-be! And you know what? I am a Follower of yours, and I didn't even know it -- I checked my list, how sad is that?
ReplyDeleteBest,
Gloria
Congratulations! Great proposal - quite the sense of humor..cute couple. Since I have two boys I was told the mother of the groom was to wear beige and keep quiet! (Didn't heed that advice)
ReplyDeleteLove the "rodent motel" - kids especially would get a kick out of it!
P.S. PLUS, I loved your baby shower post before this one! Guess I am getting 'old' and can't remember stuff!
ReplyDeleteLOL!

Oh Susan, what a beautiful couple they make! This was such a fun post (except the rodents coming out of the holes in the pumpkin kind of freeked me. YIKES!) Congratulations to your son and his bride. How cute is that spider ring in the ring box! I'm sure you'll find that being the MOG is much easier than being the MOB! Thank you so much for linking this joyous news to Favorite Things Sat. laurie
ReplyDeleteAwww! Congratulations to them both! Great looking couple.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the game.
Congratulations! As the mother of a son, my advice for the wedding? Wear beige and keep your mouth shut.
ReplyDeleteAdvice given to me by my friends who have lots of sons! :)
Congratulations Susan!
ReplyDeleteAnd a Happy Halloween!
I love the pumpkin with the little mice. It reminded me of Cinderella (but in a spooky, Halloween way, of course).
