What a great post -- my father served in WW I -- and the poppies were important to him (and he always called it Decoration Day) -- if you ever get to Kansas City, there is the national WW I museum there which is totally awesome! (and to get into the museum from the visitor's center you walk over a field of poppies!
Thanks for the sentimental post -- I do love that poem!
That poem has sooo much meaning! I am the daughter of a WWII wounded veteran and I am so thankful for his service! Joni P.S. I have been drawn to your sight and just became your newest follower.
